Creative Digital Paintings of Cute and Cuddly Creatures

In this post we gathered some of the most adorable digital paintings of animals (and other cute creatures: real, living, or otherwise) that we were able to find.  It is remarkable to see how well cuteness can be rendered through digital paintings and it made it difficult, on our end, not to share. For today, at least, we’ve decided to slim it down to cute and cuddly animals. Digital paintings can have varying levels of detail, ranging from quick sketches and concept art to highly polished, lifelike digital paintings.
Cuteness is usually characterized by some combination of infant-like physical traits, especially small body size with a disproportionately large head, large eyes, and round and softer body features. Infantile personality traits, such as playfulness, fragility, helplessness, curiosity, innocence, affectionate behavior, and a need to be nurtured are also generally considered cute.
Today, if just for today, we shall settle only for cuteness.

Honda – Use Only Original

Beautiful Examples of Black & White Photography

Sometimes a picture can look way better without its vivid colors. Black and White photography brings out a different kind of vibe and mood in a picture. This concept is hard to explain but very easy to see. If you were to compare the original picture to a black & white version, the results would be stunning. Now of course some pictures are better kept in color, for examples a field of colorful flowers.

The Wisdom of Life

Inspiration from Enigma Songs

"The eternal flame will always burn
Feel, understand and learn"

Incredible 3d Street Art

3d Street Art, often known as 3d chalk art is 2-dimensional artwork drawn on the street itself that gives you a 3-dimensional optical illusion from a certain perspective. It can be very breathtaking, realistic and at the same time captivating once you get the angle correct. And creating one is certainly though and challenging as you are creating a realistic 3d view out of a 2d painting.

Awesome Stop-Motion Photos

All these dynamic scenes stopped in time were captured by Holger Pooten. He creates truly amazing stop-motion photos.

Breathtaking Digital Paintings by Odwin Rensen

In this post I am presenting some beautibul digital paintings by Odwin Rensen. He is a 38 year old digital artist from Netherlands. Digital Painting is one of his passions where his specialty lies in making digital portrait paintings in the style and spirit of the old masters.
His technique is based on the use of a photo. With Corel Painter X, Photoshop and my Wacom tablet he paint the photo into a tradional looking oil painting. It works much like a traditional oil painting working in layer up on layer. Hope you all will enjoy this post.

"Beauty of Junk" - Amazing Sculptures Made from Scrap Metal

One man's junk is another man's art" , this old saying is made true by Edouard Martinet an extraordinary artist form Le Mans, France. He transforms everyday objects found in flea-markets and car boot sales into works of art. He crafts astoundingly detailed and life-like sculptures of fish, birds and insects from pieces of discarded junk -- but without any soldering.
Each masterpiece is carefully assembled after having drafted several detailed sketches. This process requires a sufficient amount of time to get from the idea to the completion. In this post I am presenting some of the sculptures made by him, hope you all will enjoy this post.

Camouflaged Toads Optical Illusion

National Geographic is proud owner of some of the best photos in the world. Here and then a photo jumps out, containing an interesting effect which sometimes can be seen as optical illusion. Just check out thisNational Geographic tag, and you’ll be amazed how many illusions on this site are from NG. Anyway, today’s optical illusion was submitted by Urban Ambrozic and Grégory Plantard. We get many of “camouflage” illusions, but most of them don’t make it to the front page of Moillusions. This one however, took my attention. First I only saw one campuflaged toad – thought : “hm, its ok”, but after few moments I was able to spot the second and third one! How many of them are there?! Those three leaf-litter toads were collected within yards of each other, and its amazing how they almost disappear on a forest floor in Panama. For them to stay alive in the tropics (where nearly everything is food for something else), often calls for such trickery to fool a predator’s eye. Below the photo, you may see a gallery of few similar photos (by NG as well). Can you spot an insect hiding in each of them? Those little animals could very well put Liu Bolin and Emma Hack to a shame. Amazing!

Amazingly Hand Painting Billboard Collection

Christina Bad has been following our little website for over a year now, and “absolutely loves it“! Some of the hand paintings she sent were already featured on this site, but luckily – not all of them. Old time viewers will immediately recognize Guido Daniele’s style and signature. I really enjoy when such great content gets discovered, and then professionally produced by advertising agencies. In this case Guido’s “handimals” were used to promote Body Art & Graffitti Expo by uShaka Village Walk. Enjoy!

Interesting Examples of Strobist Photography

Strobist is one of the techniques in the world of photography (any other name: Flash Photography, but I’ll use the term "Strobist" for the future). According to several sources of reference that I read, Strobist is a photography technique in dealing with light (yes, photography is painting on canvas the imagery of light, in other words, without light we would not be able to make a photo). Automatically we also need what is called the source of light. The light source itself can be of speedite flash, fluorescent lights, or even the sun. Today, I will show you some interesting examples of Strobist Photography.

Floating daydreams, Amandine Ropars

Cut Chair Optical Illusion

The art installation you’re about to see was designed by Peter Bristol, a lead product designer at Seattle-based product development consultancy Carbon Design Group. As author described it in his own words, “The Cut Chair” provides a stable place to sit, but creates an optical illusion that tells you otherwise. It usually takes few moments before people conclude how this trick works, yet the solution is pretty straight-forward. A plate concealed by a thick carpet allows a robust cantilevered seat. Three well placed leg “stumps” and the chair looks as though it has just been magically sliced apart. Peter is currently looking for a partner that would like to have the Cut Chair made for installation or production

3D Illusion in Stockholm’s Square

I’m little bit disappointed how none of you responded to my question regarding loading speed of our galleries. This also tells me how most of you don’t give a crap about what I say, as long as the illusions keep coming. I also noticed how I end up with pretty dumb headlines, when my attention is drawn away from illusions ;D
So let’s see if I can fix this with today’s post! It appears the Swedish artist Erik Johansson has joined thepavement chalk-masters wagon with his incredible optical illusion in the center of Stockholm. It tricks you into believing that the giant hole has opened up in the middle of the main city square. The illusion measures 32 by 18 metres and is located in Sergels torg square. Check some of the shots as well as accompanying video after the jump:

Dali’s Anamorphic Artworks

I’m a big fan of Dali, but not because of his classic artworks that can be seen on dorm room posters in college campuses across America. No, what I admire about Salvador Dali was his ability to see things in an entirely different manner from those around him. All of his paintings reflect this brilliance, but none show just how fantastic his mind worked better than those that incorporate anamorphism.
Anamorphic art requires the viewer look at the piece from a specific viewpoint or using a special tool in order to actually see the artwork in its proper display form. By the end of his career, Dali was a master of this skill, creating paintings like the one above that required cylindrical mirrors to see the work in its true form, and by painting spectroscopic images that required 3D glasses to take in the full effect.

The Invisible Man: Dragon Series

Thanks to Andreas P. now we have whole new series of Liu Bolin and his “Invisible Man” – Dragon Seriesinstallation to showcase. If you lived under the rock for the past year or so, you missed some incredible camouflage body-paintings from mentioned artist. As we already stated once – Liu Bolin, (a master of camouflage) hopes to portray the richness of Chinese culture and history through his work. He achieved some pretty unbelievable results with this one, if you ask me…

Flora Art Optical Illusion

Tried to publish a sample post via my new iPad today, but decided against it when I learned it’s too complicated. WordPress app works fine, yet Photoshop for iPad lacks image resizing tool. Shouldn’t this be the most used part of the program?! Anyway, let me show you some new stuff from Fred Eerdekens. Remember, he was the guy that wrote those funny letters on walls, using nothing but bent wire and light source to cast shadows. This one’s very similar, only wires have been replaced by specially trimmed trees! Can you see the illusion by yourself? What does it say? BTW, fun fact of the day: I bought my self a bonsaitree few days ago; but what I wasn’t aware is that “bonsai” is just a term for practice of keeping trees small? Were you aware of this? It appears you can trim almost any young tree and make it bonsai… Ie. small oak can be bonsai, just as small cherry tree can be bonsai too!

Caught in The (Right) Moment Collection

So, Yahoo still hasn’t updated it’s widget database with our updated widget, but from my experience this should happen some time tomorrow, or the next day at worst. Then you’ll be able to get working version (5.0) of the “Optical Illusion of The Day” widget for your desktops. If I forgot to tell you about my exam, I have successfully passed it! One down, 10 to go. The illusion part for today should be the most exciting one – I have added over 20 optical illusions that picture people (or objects) caught just in the right moment. Someinvolve sports, Some are political, some random, but all are funny and amusing. I believe this post will make you love this site even more, specially since there are so many rare photos you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Can’t wait to hear which one is your favorite! If you liked similar compilation that involved Billboards, (and then the second one) be sure to mention it, and I’ll compose Part III as well. Enjoy!

Amazing Illustrations by Mad Scientist Tiago Hoisel

Either way he is certainly mad! Tiago was born in 1984 and is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His works are known throughout the country.

The Art of Overloading

I can look at these images all day long and never stops to be funny. This is outstanding what human mind can think to do, even if that is very risky or stupid to do. But never stops to be funny and to amaze us all over again. I recommend to see this gallery it will make smile at your face, enjoy.

Fantastic Water Drops

Stephen, known as EvrWccn in dA, is an Enterprise Network Engineer. However, in my free time he’s a creative Photographer and Digital Artist. As a photographer, he has been creating, minipulating, and conjuring photos professionally since around 2004. Since 2010 he’s started to dive into High Dynamic Range Photography and HDR photography is by far his favorite form of art photography. It gives some surrealistic effects, and the results can be simply stunning. He likes to capture water drops. The colors, the lighting, and the crystalline quality of the water itself are simply marvelous

Potato Faces – Literally

Have you ever looked at a pile of potatoes and thought: wow it would be cool to paint something on them so they look like faces? Well, I have been thinking that at least, and finally someone has done it properly. The talented artist Ginou Choueiri has taken random potatoes and painted realistic faces on them. You maybe wonder why she chose potatoes as base? She thought that the texture and the color are similar to ours, and they come in different shape and sizes, so it had to be fun playing around with that.

Would You Wear Hooves And Guns On Your Feet?

They are made by German artist Iris Schieferstein who has worked with dead animals for many years, and is using their raw material for her work. Her shoe line “Gun Hoofs” is made from horse hooves and guns, hence the name. The guns or pistols are used as heels, and the hooves are hollowed-out with zippers so it’s completely possible to actually wear them. Disturbing for some, fascinating for others. What do you think? While contemplating, you can take a look at some shoes made from something much less disturbing, like paper.

Sea Creatures Become Transparent And Colorful

He started as a random fisherman with great interest in ichthyology, when he suddenly began to represent different sea specimen in an unusual way. Iori Tomita is the man that we’re talking about. He catches different creatures that live in the sea and makes them colorful by making them transparent.

Light painting, creativity and fun together as one

For light painting you need a digital camera with long exposure and 5 different types of light sources such as flashlights, light toys, torch, LED’s. Now you need to find a darkened room and partner to take the pictures. Now set your camera in such a way that it can take long exposure pictures, most digital cameras are capable of taking 8 seconds or longer exposure. This process is called “shutter priority” or “bulb setting”.

Fantastic Painting Photography

Separately, photography and painting have been used by artists who have had much to say about notions of time, perspective, representation, and veracity, and who use their medium conceptually to enhance their ideas. In collaboration the conversation between painting and photography is richer, deeper, and utterly captivating.
Painting is an art. There are many traditional ways of making the painting. We covered a lots impressive photography in past. You have seen different composition of painting. Here is the new modern way of painting photos. If you are artist or new designer, you will like this list. You will learn new technique.
You find the painting photography in magazines, internet, or television or in gallery. Painting Photographing is difficult job, but, this composition shows an example of their professional work. All the photos are linked along with its source that represents the talented Artist.

Cutest Babies Photography

Baby Photography isn’t always easy, part of the reason for this is that babies have very short attention spans.  The following article on photographing babies will help with some useful tips on getting the baby’s attention.
In Baby Photography most successful images are created by ensuring that the moment at which the shutter is pressed is the same moment as you capture the baby’s attention. Here are 30 most cutest baby photos

Stunning Examples of Underwater Photography

Underwater imaging is considered an especially challenging area of photography, since it requires very specialized equipment and techniques to be successful. Despite these challenges, it offers the possibility of many exciting and rare photographic opportunities. Animals such as fish and marine mammals are the most common subjects, but photographers also pursue shipwrecks, submerged cave systems, underwater "landscapes", and portraits of fellow divers..

Most Beautiful Birds of the World

Bird photography is one of the most popular genres of nature photography. This should come as no surprise since birding is one of the world’s most popular pastimes! Bird photography is also a very challenging endeavor, requiring specialized skills and equipment – one does not simply pick up the camera used for family vacation photos and capture compelling avian images. On the same token, having the best possible photographic gear for the task does not ensure success either. It seems the most successful bird photographers are not only skilled photographic technicians, but also have a thorough understanding of avian behavior and habitat. Most importantly, they all have a deep love and appreciation for their subjects.

The Greatest Macro Photography

Macro photography is close-up photography. The classical definition is that the image projected on the “film plane” (i.e., film or a digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject. In recent years, the term macro has been used in marketing material to mean being able to focus on a subject close enough so that when a regular 6×4 inch (15×10 cm) print is made, the image is life-size or larger. With 35mm film this requires a magnification ratio of only approximately 1:4, which demands a lower lens quality than 1:1. With digital cameras the actual image size is rarely stated, so that the magnification ratio is largely irrelevant; cameras instead advertise their closest focusing distance. Macroscopy competes with the digital microscope where a small camera tube can be attached directly to a computer, usually via USB port. Macroscopy also competes with photomicroscopy, and it is much less expensive to achieve high quality images. However, high magnification images are more difficult using macroscopy. The method is especially useful in forensic work, where small details at crime or accident scenes may often be very significant towards solving the crime. Trace evidence such as fingerprints and skid marks are especially important, and easily recorded using macroscopy. Fracture surfaces from broken products are very revealing using fractography, especially when photographed using glancing light to highlight surface details.
