Fantastic Water Drops

Stephen, known as EvrWccn in dA, is an Enterprise Network Engineer. However, in my free time he’s a creative Photographer and Digital Artist. As a photographer, he has been creating, minipulating, and conjuring photos professionally since around 2004. Since 2010 he’s started to dive into High Dynamic Range Photography and HDR photography is by far his favorite form of art photography. It gives some surrealistic effects, and the results can be simply stunning. He likes to capture water drops. The colors, the lighting, and the crystalline quality of the water itself are simply marvelous

Potato Faces – Literally

Have you ever looked at a pile of potatoes and thought: wow it would be cool to paint something on them so they look like faces? Well, I have been thinking that at least, and finally someone has done it properly. The talented artist Ginou Choueiri has taken random potatoes and painted realistic faces on them. You maybe wonder why she chose potatoes as base? She thought that the texture and the color are similar to ours, and they come in different shape and sizes, so it had to be fun playing around with that.

Would You Wear Hooves And Guns On Your Feet?

They are made by German artist Iris Schieferstein who has worked with dead animals for many years, and is using their raw material for her work. Her shoe line “Gun Hoofs” is made from horse hooves and guns, hence the name. The guns or pistols are used as heels, and the hooves are hollowed-out with zippers so it’s completely possible to actually wear them. Disturbing for some, fascinating for others. What do you think? While contemplating, you can take a look at some shoes made from something much less disturbing, like paper.

Sea Creatures Become Transparent And Colorful

He started as a random fisherman with great interest in ichthyology, when he suddenly began to represent different sea specimen in an unusual way. Iori Tomita is the man that we’re talking about. He catches different creatures that live in the sea and makes them colorful by making them transparent.

Light painting, creativity and fun together as one

For light painting you need a digital camera with long exposure and 5 different types of light sources such as flashlights, light toys, torch, LED’s. Now you need to find a darkened room and partner to take the pictures. Now set your camera in such a way that it can take long exposure pictures, most digital cameras are capable of taking 8 seconds or longer exposure. This process is called “shutter priority” or “bulb setting”.

Fantastic Painting Photography

Separately, photography and painting have been used by artists who have had much to say about notions of time, perspective, representation, and veracity, and who use their medium conceptually to enhance their ideas. Cutest Babies Photography

Baby Photography isn’t always easy, part of the reason for this is that babies have very short attention spans.  The following article on photographing babies will help with some useful tips on getting the baby’s attention.

Stunning Examples of Underwater Photography

Underwater imaging is considered an especially challenging area of photography, since it requires very specialized equipment and techniques to be successful. Despite these challenges, it offers the possibility of many exciting and rare photographic opportunities. Animals such as fish and marine mammals are the most common subjects, but photographers also pursue shipwrecks, submerged cave systems, underwater "landscapes", and portraits of fellow divers..

Most Beautiful Birds of the World

Bird photography is one of the most popular genres of nature photography. This should come as no surprise since birding is one of the world’s most popular pastimes! Bird photography is also a very challenging endeavor, requiring specialized skills and equipment – one does not simply pick up the camera used for family vacation photos and capture compelling avian images. On the same token, having the best possible photographic gear for the task does not ensure success either. It seems the most successful bird photographers are not only skilled photographic technicians, but also have a thorough understanding of avian behavior and habitat. Most importantly, they all have a deep love and appreciation for their subjects.

The Greatest Macro Photography

Macro photography is close-up photography. The classical definition is that the image projected on the “film plane” (i.e., film or a digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject. In recent years, the term macro has been used in marketing material to mean being able to focus on a subject close enough so that when a regular 6×4 inch (15×10 cm) print is made, the image is life-size or larger. With 35mm film this requires a magnification ratio of only approximately 1:4, which demands a lower lens quality than 1:1. With digital cameras the actual image size is rarely stated, so that the magnification ratio is largely irrelevant; cameras instead advertise their closest focusing distance. Macroscopy competes with the digital microscope where a small camera tube can be attached directly to a computer, usually via USB port. Macroscopy also competes with photomicroscopy, and it is much less expensive to achieve high quality images. However, high magnification images are more difficult using macroscopy. The method is especially useful in forensic work, where small details at crime or accident scenes may often be very significant towards solving the crime. Trace evidence such as fingerprints and skid marks are especially important, and easily recorded using macroscopy. Fracture surfaces from broken products are very revealing using fractography, especially when photographed using glancing light to highlight surface details.
